K. Daniel Efird (P. Eng., NACE Corrosion Specialist), President of Efird Corrosion International Inc., is a universally recognized authority on corrosion prevention and control in the oil and gas industry. His professional background comprises three decades of research, technical and supervisory experience in corrosion, materials, and metallurgical engineering for crude oil and gas production operations, and marine facilities and operations. He has extensively published in the technical literature on corrosion and corrosion control in marine and oil and gas environments, with numerous technical presentations. His close association with NACE International for 30 years includes technical committee, standing committee and symposium chairmanships, and a term as a Director of the Association.
